SlideSync is a web-based platform that enables live events with a high number of attendees.
This data protection declaration is addressed to the attendees of these events. For organizers and other platform users, the separate Privacy Policy for Platform Users applies.

SlideSync is operated by MediaEvent Services GmbH & Co. KG, Charlotte-Bamberg-Str. 6, 35578 Wetzlar, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "Operator").
The organizer of the respective live event (hereinafter referred to as "Organizer") has commissioned MediaEvent Services GmbH & Co. KG with the order data processing in the context of the live event. He is responsible for the content and is the responsible body within the meaning of data protection laws, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your Rights of Affected Persons

You can exercise the following rights at any time under the above contact details:

• Information about your data stored by us and its processing,
• correction of inaccurate personal data,

Purposes of data processing by the controller and third parties

We process your personal data exclusively for the fulfilment of our contract with the Organizer. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for purposes other than those mentioned. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

• you have given your express consent,
• processing is required to process a contract with you,
• the processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation,
• the processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data.

Deletion or locking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for in the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose or expiry of these periods, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted as a matter of routine and in accordance with statutory regulations.

Of course, we will also provide you with information about the personal data we have stored about you at any time. We will be happy to correct or delete them at your request, provided that there are no legal storage obligations to the contrary. Question & Answer functionality

If you submit questions or comments during or after the live event, your name (if given) or registration data (if given or automatically provided via Single Sign-on) as well as the time of question creation will be stored and forwarded to the Organizer for use in the context of the event (or afterwards). This may include the publication of your question including your name for all participants.

Surveys

The data you provide within the scope of surveys will be forwarded to the Organizer for use in the context of the event (or afterwards). Surveys can be conducted either anonymously or non-anonymously; the respective setting is clearly indicated in the survey form. In the case of non-anonymous surveys, your registration data (if given or automatically transmitted via Single Sign-on) will be linked to your responses in the survey form.

Usage statistics

The usage duration is measured and used for billing purposes between the operator and the Organizer, as well as for monitoring the success of the event by the Organizer.

Contact / Support

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form with questions of any kind, please give us your voluntary consent for the purpose of contacting us. A valid e-mail address is required for this purpose. This is used to assign the request and then reply to it. The specification of further data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and any possible follow-up questions. After your request has been processed, your personal data will be automatically deleted.
